MADYMO dummy models are renowned for their high accuracy and speed. These crash test dummy models have been successfully applied in the analysis and design of a wide range of protective devices, ranging from Automotive, Aviation, Defence, and Rail.

  • Robustness, speed and accuracy
    Through its combined multibody and FE techniques, MADYMO provides dummy models that meet the most stringent demands for accuracy, robustness and computation speed. Typical stand-alone MADYMO occupant safety simulations can run within 5-10 minutes.
  • Quality assured
    The MADYMO dummy models are validated on component, assembly and full-system level using an extensive database of test data. Their level and range of validation is reported extensively in quality reports, in which model responses are compared with physical dummy responses using objective rating criteria.
  • Multiple codes - one model
    MADYMO crash dummy models can also be used in co-simulation with explicit FE codes like LS-DYNA, PAM-CRASH, RADIOSS and ABAQUS. In this way we offer a one-stop-shop solution for safety engineers working with multiple crash codes.

Models and Solver in one package

The MADYMO dummy models suite comes included with the MADYMO Solver and Utilities installation package. Releases of new models and model upgrades are normally released first through our password-protected download area. With every new MADYMO Solver release all latest dummy model releases are included in the new Solver release format.

Licensing and support

The MADYMO licensing policy is based on an annual subscription to the software. This includes technical support and product upgrades. MADYMO dummy models can be used through module licensing as well as token licensing, where MADYMO Tokens are valid for MADYMO Solver as well as for all (dummy) models and Workspace applications. Both stand-alone (node-locked) and network (floating) licenses are available. The MADYMO Solver runs on Windows, Linux as well as Unix systems. Technical support is offered through our local MADYMO support teams.
