New MADYMO Ejection Mitigation Headform Impactor model released

Per March 1st 2011, the new US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard on Ejection Mitigation (FMVSS 226) has been adopted into the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR). With this standard, also the 18 kg Ejection Mitigation Headform (EMHF) impactor has been adopted in US regulations.

In follow up to this, TASS has developed a MADYMO FE model of the Ejection Mitigation Headform impactor, which is now available on the TASS download area. The new EMHF impactor model design fully meets the hardware impactor design specifications prescribed for the FMVSS 226 final rule. The model also meets with the specified hardware dynamic certification requirements. The new model is available in MADYMO V7.3 format.

License information
  • For MADYMO module licensing, the new EMHF impactor model requires the subsystems module (MADYMO/DummyModels/Subsystems).
  • For MADYMO token licensing, the new EMHF impactor model requires 20 tokens.
