from TNO to TASSProduct News
TNO has transferred the sales, marketing and distribution activities of their Delft-Tyre and PreScan software products and related services to TASS. TASS and TNO will jointly further develop these software products.
Delft-Tyre
Delft-Tyre provides an integrated solution for tire modeling in vehicle dynamics simulations, including tire testing and model parameter identification. Based on the renowned Pacejka Magic Formula, Delft-Tyre products have proven capabilities in the assessment and modelling of tire behaviour, from simple steady state to complex high frequency tire dynamics. One of the main advantages of our integrated tool chain is that the same tire model can be used for handling, comfort and durability simulations. Application areas include pasenger cars, motorcyle and aircraft landing gear.PreScan
PreScan is a simulation environment for the design and validation of advanced driver assistance systems (e.g. ACC, LDW), collision mitigation systems, pre-crash sensing systems and active headlight applications. PreScan contains detailed models of all sensors used for automotive ADAS systems such as radar, laser, lidar and camera. Traffic scenarios are easily built through an intuitive user-interface for the definition of the environment (roads, trees, buildings), actors (cars, trucks, bikes, pedestrians), weather conditions (rain, snow, fog) and light circumstances. PreScan has interfaces with Matlab/Simulink, JAVA, CarSim, veDYNA, dSPACE and National Instruments. If you would like to explore the advantages of DelftTyre or PreScan, we encourage you to contact your local TASS representative.

MADYMO signal output in ISO-MME format
In follow up to user requests, TASS has released a MADYMO-2-ISO signal data conversion script. The MAD2ISO script is available free-of-charge and requires no license.
The MAD2ISO script is python-based and converts MADYMO time history output signal data into ISO/TS13499 (2003) consistent data format (also referred to as ISO-MME format). The ISO-MME data format is defined especially for storing crash test data and is widely used by crash and occupant safety simulation engineers.
The MAD2ISO script allows the user to select output signals from the MADYMO results files and assign ISO-codes to them. The script also includes predefined signal conversion lists for most frontal and side impact MADYMO dummy models. More information on script features, handling and software requirements can be found in the documentation released with it.
